Erik Schmill has a degree in private law from Panthéon-Assas University in Paris.

He is also a graduate of  King's College London as a Master of Laws (LLM).


After several years of experience in England and Germany, he began his career as an avocat at the Paris Bar at the Gide Loyrette Nouel firm in 1987.


In 1992, he founded, with François LOMBREZ, the firm SCHMILL & LOMBREZ.

He is fluent in English and German.


He is qualified to represent his clients before all courts of first instance and appeal in France and in a large number of French-speaking countries, in the Maghreb and in West Africa, as well as before arbitration courts in France and abroad.


During his career, he has developed considerable experience in the legal management of disputes abroad and has a large network of correspondents across the planet.

He is mainly involved in commercial proceeding, in transport, insurance and financial matters.
